Welcome to Kindergarten Night

Each Spring our excellent Kindergarten Teams host a Welcome to Kindergarten Night.  Kindergarten Teachers and Educational Assistants invite our new Junior Kindergarten students and their parents to enjoy a curriculum presentation and various learning stations. This is a lovely way for children and parents to meet and get excited about the year ahead. Thank you to our Kindergarten Teams and our SERTs, for planning and hosting this important start for our youngest.

Thanksgiving & Christmas Food Drives

St Patrick Catholic Elementary organizes and collects food for those in need in our school community and/or Peterborough through our Food Drives. Each classroom collects items for the food drive. We are so proud of everyone's generosity. Thank you, to all of the community for contributing to this special event, and to all staff that help coordinate this event.

United Way Campaign

Our Staff fully support the Peterborough and District United Way Campaign. Activities are offered for the students to participate as well.

Robotics

Thank you to our staff volunteers who have dedicated countless hours to our exciting Robotics Club. With their support, St Patrick initiated and convened the first two Annual Board Elementary Robotics Tournaments. The Missions, which include the Maze, Sumo Wrestling, and Hockey, require skills in programming, designing, and building Lego Robotics to be successful. We are very proud to have championed many of these Missions in both years running to date!

St Patrick Eco-Club

We are very proud of our awesome Eco-Club. Since its conception in 2013, we have been provincially certified as a Gold level school! This standard is the highest standard and very difficult to attain... and maintain. Activities are offered throughout the school year to raise awareness of our environment and our carbon footprint. They include Car- Free Wednesdays at the beginning of each month, litterless lunches, sweater day, and composting and recycling to name a few. Plays or student presentations highlight the activities-  Congratulations to the Club for your Gold Standard!

Student Government

The Government is composed of several Grade 8 Executive positions plus Class Representatives from Grades 6-8. Working with the Principal, our Government promotes school spirit and organizes fun events. Each year, we apply for a Speak Up Grant which has funded our Games Club and supports our Math Fair Night.

Each year, the St. Patrick Catholic School Council and volunteers organize a Christmas meal. Students are served a delicious Christmas lunch with food items generously donated by the Catholic School Council and our parents.
